7 Days/week for nonlocal This candidate will be on a Nuclear Site and will require Unescorted Nuclear Access.
Nuclear cost control experience is a must for this position.
A lot of the resumes do not have cost control experience but do have financial analysis experience.
Nuclear Project Cost Control is not the same as Financial Analysis.
o Quick description of the role or project story (What this role will be doing) Nuclear Station in Jenkinsville, SC is currently seeking a Controls Specialist to support our Nuclear Site Services team.
The Controls Specialist responsibilities include:
Develop, implement, and coordinate planning, estimating and cost controls for power station construction projects.
Develop and maintain cost plan based on approved estimates and schedules.
Monitor actual project cost and/or work status data to ensure project is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
Prepare budgets and analyze monthly cost reports.
Implement, evaluate, and monitor controls systems.
Prepare detailed financial analysis.
Implement, evaluate, and monitor controls systems.
Conduct meetings with contractors and company personnel on cost control matters.
o What are the top (at least 3 if possible) must have skill sets (technical/functional) which are required? 5
years project controls experience is required - knowledge of cost controls principles SAP experience Experience with estimating/budgeting/forecasting Must be able to verify data and present statistical reports and documentation o What are the top nice to have skill sets? Anaplan experience is a nice to have but I'm not expecting that.
Maximo o What soft skill requirements do you have (team fit and personality requirements)? Must be able to work well with different departments.
There will be a lot of times when phone calls must be made in order to get needed information.
Good verbal/writing/presentation skills Effective work and project management skills Demonstrated knowledge of decision making and problem solving o What education and certifications/licensures are required? Associates degree in Finance or a Technical field.
No required certifications.
o Are there any specific companies/industries or ideal background you'd like to see in the candidate's experience? Must have nuclear experience o What is the committed timeline for interview and decision making? I need to interview and make a decision on soon as possible.
Will likely be January due to holidays before interviews can be set up.
o What is the preferred candidate location (local, non-local, remote?) and is there flexibility? Local is preferred but it's unlikely to find a qualified candidate who is local so I will accept non-local.
Remote work is not available.
o At any time is overtime required or would you say it is just available as a function of the job? Overtime is required during refueling outages and is available as a function of the job at other times.
o What schedule would the candidate be required to work? Most of the department works a 4-10 schedule Monday-Thursday.
Another option is a 9 hour work day with every other Friday off.
