Summary: Responsible for Administering the site CQC Program-Provide input and technical support in development of specific CQC Checklists for site construction activities,Conduct surveillance to verify document completion & physical checks to ensure CQC Program is functioning in accordance with established procedures.
Working in conjunction with the CQC Program Manager to ensure proper implementation of CQC Program
Provide Construction support to the Nuclear QA/QC organization for independent Site QC activities
Provide CQC training to Construction Superintendents, Verify there is acceptable documentation for required construction activities
Witness inspections, tests, or installation activities
Responsibilities:
- Define ties to Construction Quality Procedures (CQCs) and forms required for quality installation activities on all components per company procedures
- Generate discipline CQC documentation as required to support construction (e.g., ca)
- Generate status reports for site and project management, as needed
- Schedule and lead system walk down with all relevant personnel
- Identify deficiencies in systems
- Create and maintain site completion list
- Prioritize work list / punch list, if permitted by commissioning manager
- Verify completeness of items identified in work list / punch list, and sign off as needed
- Generate discipline commissioning documentation as required to support commissioning (e.g.,
- Status documentation as issued and completed during execution
- Schedule and lead client system walk downs, per direction of the Turnover manager
- Verify completeness of items identified in punch list, sign off, and obtain client signatures for punch list close-out
Qualifications/Competencies/
Experience:
-Requires a 2 year degree or 10 years related work experience
-Preferred work experience in Construction or Module Fabrication.
-Must know fundamentals for presentation & reporting skills, power point, & primavera.
-Prior military experience a plus.
- Ability to work independently
- Advanced knowledge of Building/Area turnover
- Ability to review, understand, and utilize the portions of contract relevant to turnover deliverables
- Ability to perform research to discover opportunities for potential process improvement for the department
- Detailed knowledge of safety requirements for field assignments
- Detailed knowledge of a certain construction discipline(s), working knowledge of other disciplines
- Advanced knowledge of sequencing of construction activities
- Detailed knowledge of engineering and procurement scheduling activities
- Working knowledge of subcontract procedures and scope of work (SOW)
- Detailed knowledge of construction quality procedures (CQCs) per component type
- Detailed knowledge of construction inspection / test packages (e.g., hydrostatic test packages, structural steel inspection packages, etc.)
- Detailed knowledge of Construction Preventative Maintenance Procedure (CSP 3-16)
- Detailed knowledge of preventative maintenance portion of turnover software
- Detailed knowledge of overall construction process
- Analyze reports to alert site management of construction issues that may impact scheduled turnover dates
- Ability to define preventative maintenance requirements from vendor operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals
- Ability to interpret system boundaries and develop detailed scope boundaries per system turnover package
- Detailed knowledge of completion requirements for system turnover packages, and ability to apply relevant tools and sources for verification (e.g., scope drawings, WinPCS, etc.)
- Ability to interpret status reports to assist in construction execution
- Ability to lead a consortium client walk down
- Detailed knowledge of a certain construction discipline(s), working knowledge of other disciplines, as it pertains to identifying deficiencies and resolution in systems
- Ability to use turnover software to maintain official punch list
- Ability to articulate that the system installed meets the client requirements
